Ceremony of Remembrance – Sir Knights Needed!

Dear Sir Knights,

The Sir Knights of our Assembly have proudly participated in the Ceremony of Remembrance in Aurora for the past several years.  We have demonstrated our patriotism and our respect for those who have served our country and given the supreme sacrifice.

This year’s ceremony will take place in Aurora on Sunday, November 6th beginning at 10:30AM.

Sir Knights are asked to present themselves for 10 am at the east side of Dr. G. W. Williams Secondary School on Dunning Avenue in Aurora.  The parade will begin around 10:30AM and will proceed West down Dunning Avenue and South on Yonge Street to the Aurora-King-Whitchurch Cenotaph.  During the ceremony at the Cenotaph, a representative of our Assembly will present a wreath, accompanied by two Sir Knights.

All Sir Knights are invited to participate.  Dress in full regalia is preferred but Sir Knights are also welcome in tuxedo and social baldric.

We should have at least a dozen Sir Knights in order to make a good impression.

Please respond as soon as possible to our Worthy Commander, SK Don Hennessey at don.hennessey@rogers.com or by phone at 905-898-0058.

On Thursday, November 3rd at 7:30PM, we will have a sword drill practice before the general meeting at St. John Parish Hall in Newmarket in order to prepare for the ceremony on Sunday.  We hope to see you all there.

Lest We Forget,

SK Claude Arcand
Assistant Worthy Commander
